Supporting The Benjamin Foundation
Over the past few years we have been getting more and more involved in The Benjamin Foundation with our very own Sandra Moore becoming a trustee in 2013. As part of our support, we have recently started recruiting for a Chief Executive position within the company and are looking to help The Benjamin Foundation grow even bigger.
The Norfolk-based charity was founded in 1994 and aims to help people across the county deal with all types of challenges that life may throw at them. As part of this, The Benjamin Foundation have built accommodation centres for 16-25 year olds with no home, providing the support and guidance that they need to help them improve their lives.
In addition to this, the charity focuses on providing support for families within the area. Through strengthening family relationships, providing help for children being bullied, and aiding parents to find affordable childcare, the team at The Benjamin Foundation are able to give families the guidance they need to create a loving and stable home.
With three furniture stores based around Norfolk selling donated furniture and electrical items, The Benjamin Foundation are able to raise money to aid the support they give to the people in Norfolk. Last year the charity was able to help approximately 2000 people in Norfolk deal with difficulties they did not have the support to overcome, and now these 2000 lives have been changed for the better.
We are extremely proud to be involved in this amazing charity and to be able to help their team improve so many people’s lives. We are looking forward to seeing them grow substantially over the next couple of years through their support within schools, homes and youth groups.
